+ Local Transistor
I tried to give it to `em but you know they didn’t want it Tried to let `em hear it but it wasn`t hip enough You won`t hear this song on the radio Refuse to auto tune we got too much analog
You won`t hear us on your local transistor We are the voice of a generation of resistors Deny my pride then look inside my heart is a fuel injector You won`t hear us on your local transistor
Not gonna see this in the videos Could never be a single yeah its way to raw We`re the ghosts on the radio, dead wings and tattered clothes We stalk your transistor radio
You won`t hear us on your local transistor We are the voice of a generation of resistors Deny my pride then look inside my heart is a fuel injector You won`t hear us on your local transistor
+ Bruises For Bracelets
Just a tool with a badge and a gun Playing follow the leader taking orders from above Taking down everything you deem untrue Don`t throw the book at me cause I’m the exception not the rule
Bruises for bracelets Polluted system and damaged wrist Bruises for bracelets And you wonder why I’m misanthropic Hedonistic values and calomistic ways
They try to take away my voice The only ones that crave the power are the callow This is the evil you employee In god we trust but who do you follow
Bruises for bracelets Polluted system and damaged wrist Bruises for bracelets And you wonder why I’m misanthropic Hedonistic values and callomistic ways
+ On Your Side
You got nothin to lose so you got nothing to hide As you roll into town decadence rolls in behind Livin without a care livin without any pride But the life you save might be your own tonight
You’re gonna need me on your side
This is when you need me on your side Without me there’s nothing you can do But you take it up in your stride Devil’s usin you to pay his dues
Always tellin your lies always putting up a front Trifle and decay you seem to cause it a lot Its been workin too long should hope you keep what you got Someday all of these things are gonna fabricate a clot
You got the devil on your back you cant get no slack Why don’t you turn it around you’re hangin upside down When you reap what you sew you feel all alone Why are you flyin solo
See you out on the town on a manic Monday Looks like youre in some trouble don’t come runnin my way Cause you done had your chance you said that I was no fun But all that fun that you had is what turned you this way
+ Glamour Doll (Beg For It)
Champaign kisses, you’re so famous You only want what you`ve been missin` Queen of mystique without a crown Notorious leader of the in crowd I see you takin’ a drag off your cigarette You’re the girl no one can forget You’re the poster child for the party girl One look at you and we want it all
She`s a glamour doll, beg for it, beg for it She`s a glamour doll, beg for it, beg for it
Vanity cases lipstick faces Cover girl for MTV reality Roughed up baby you wanna taste it Sidewalk runways, your style don`t come for free Not so complicated, you think your livin’ on the edge Sadistic world has caught you jaded You’re the poster child for the suicide girl One look at you and we want it all
+ Junkie Boy
Junkie boy, he’s a junkie boy He needs his toys See his deathly face, see his pale blue eyes Sink to outer space Junkie boy, he’s a junkie boy
That’s just the way it goes When your a kid on the streets You got nothing to lose, your born with nothing left to lose yea, yea, yea…………etc. x 2
Your so quick to choose your friends But they wont be there till the end They come around when you got the doe And leave you with a broken soul The needle penetrates the skin And inject the pain and lies within Remember not to do to much or they will leave you for dead
+ The Killer
Got no idols, got no heart The innocent obsession took it too far Idolized evils, serial celebrities The moonlight hides your heartless insecurities Sure they have their childish ways, But you can’t make everyone pay Taking down the charlatans and saints Justified sins with shallow and vein
Your the one talking to yourself Cant make up your mind Cant let them live, cant let them die, oh just make it look like a suicide
No more killers, no more lies Just leave me with iridescent eyes Deceit yours and your own Just another killer in the home Slashing with your pretty knife Cutting with your shiny knife Can`t believe you kept it to yourself Who are you to take the time we have left
+ Slippin Through My Fingers
Slippin through my fingers When I try to capture the feeling that lingers yea Slippin through my fingers When I try to capture the feeling that lingers
Gonna keep on tryin even though im not buyin all the little lies that you tell And I know youre not dyin but your nights are filled with cryin so I know that something is not goin well But ya keep insistin even though im not listenin that youre stuck inside a little prison cell But it aint my problem so don’t talk it any longer you just cant realize it’s a feeling of the stronger
Slippin through my fingers When I try to capture the feeling that lingers Yea slippin through my fingers When I try to capture the feeling that lingers
Now ya don’t say no much but ya use it as a crutch yea when I need a favor from you Ya say its all wrote in black and white and everything is still alright but tell me why should I believe you Don’t tell me no stories don’t tell me no lies cause im sick of hearing all your little alibis You say that you gotta get outta this place but ya still refuse to change your ways
Slippin through my fingers When I try to capture the feeling that lingers Yea slippin through my fingers When I try to capture the feeling that lingers
+ The Birds and the Bees
Things are changing, for the worst in my eyes They took our happy words, and traded them for cries We’ve all been sold out, never seen so many tears Some things have gotta change, back from all the past broken years
Time to make things better, before this train hits the bottom of the hill You know that the days are different, when the first word in the book is kill It’s like we’re all savage animals, tryin’ our best to survive It don’t help when the leaders of the pack, are all livin’ a lie
The dreams, we used to have They’ve all crumbled away, they never came to stay Afraid, we lock our doors Trapped in our cage, getting nothing explained What happened to the times? Where we could all be free, like the birds and the bees
Gonna turn this place around Creep up without a sound Put on our war paint And drive evil into the ground The dreams, we used to have They’ve all crumbled away, they never came to stay
Afraid, we lock our doors, Trapped in our cage, getting’ nothin’ explained Fear, it’s what we’re taught Just livin our lives, too scared to come out and fight What happened to the times? When we could all be free, like the birds and the bees
+ The Night Is Young
She was a hurricane On the East Coast side of pain Never listen to what others say Never listen to what others say He was a disaster An Alabama massacre She said, don’t give up on faith She said, don’t give up on faith
Dagger City, your skies grow cold Your streets have taken our souls Mother angel, take me in I need your direction to guide my sin I need your direction to guide my sin
Oh oh sinners and oh oh Saints The skies alone can’t heal your faith We all look up to the world of love Don’t bother son, for the night is young Oh the night is young
The world takes our youth as easy prey The vultures fly low when you’re down Robbing us of our innocents Their tongues won`t repent my name
Oh oh sinners and oh oh Saints The skies alone can’t heal your faith We all look up to the world of love Don’t bother son, for the night is young Oh the night is young

Dagger
City
Dagger City is a group of
forward thinking artists pushing their
musical ideas in an era that would classify
them as unique. Stemming from southern
roots, they are a hard rock band fueled by
artistic vision and energy. Their sound is
a blend of The Black Crowes, Buckcherry,
Silvertide, and Lynard Skynard due to being
born and bred in the “Mecca” of southern
rock, Muscle Shoals, Al. Armed
with poetry style lyrics reminiscent of Jim
Morrison, pioneering drum technique, chest
thumping bass lines, and mind melting
guitar riffs and solos; they are a higher
caliber of musical ideology.
Dagger City is Cody Elliot on guitar and
lead vocals, Nick Sibley on percussion and
vocals, Payton Pruitt on guitar and lead
vocals, and Chris Moomaw on bass and
vocals. They were formed when Cody Elliott
and Payton Pruitt began writing together in
the summer of 2010. As the concept
developed, Nick Sibley and Chris Moomaw
joined to form the original and current
lineup.
Their
self-titled E.P. debuted in the summer of
2010.
“Generation Resistors”, their first
full-length cd was released on April
9th 2011, shortly
after. “Local
Transistor”, which is the first track on
“Generation Resistors”, has been called a
“future number one hit” by famous Nashville
recording engineer, Alan
Cartee.
Dagger City is currently working on
the follow up album and is focused on
continually evolving as
artists.
